SEMINOLE ONLINE AUCTION NOW OPEN! - Member Email: May 5, 2025
Hi Seminole Families -
It was great to see many of you at the Rummage Sale and Clean Up days this weekend. We're getting closer to the pool and tennis courts opening and we can feel the Seminole energy gearing up. Here's what you need to know from the Fundraising Event Committee this week (and a rummage sale wrap up at the end).
The Silent Auction benefiting Seminole 2.0 is now live! Check it out and be sure to bid on your favorite items. Feel free to share with family and friends - we have over 50 items that will be up for grabs. They will be added gradually this week, so be sure to check back regularly for new options. It's not too late for you to donate too, so if you're inspired, send us a message. Here's the auction link: https://www.32auctions.com/seminole
The Silent Auction ends Thursday, May 22nd at 8:00 pm, although there is extended bidding for extra 30 minutes for items that get last minute bids.
Our Toot & Kate's Giveback Event is this week Thursday, May 8th for their entire open hours (3-11 pm) at the Verona location. They are generously donating back 25% of all sales that day - bottles of wine, food, gift cards - AND have arranged for live music with Marta Hansen from 7-9 pm. See you there.
Our final restaurant night before the pool opens is Monday, May 19th at Glass Nickel Pizza (Fitchburg) with 10% of all sales that day donated. Last time we raised over $600 and GNP had to call in extra help. Let's beat it this time!
Now, the wrap up of the Seminole Rummage Sale - we raised over $7,000 toward Seminole 2.0 and generated some great connections with others in the community, with many people asking about pool membership and others reminiscing of their previous "Seminole Summers." A giant thank you to the volunteers who helped out - this could not have happened without you. A special callout to Suzanne Formanek and her son Wyatt who not only volunteered at the pool clean up days, but then moved out to help us with the rummage clean up and stuck with us for 3 extra hours of work!
There were also some of the Fundraising Event Committee that really stepped up for this Event - be sure to thank the Huber, Heggeseth and Hanson families next time you see them for all the days of work they put in ahead of time for this to happen. They also toughed out two long days at the sale, together with Crystal Nemeth (who may have helped you with her personal shopping skills). Finally, Mindy Fleming helped make drop offs happen (you may have seen her smiling face at the storage unit gate) and Emily Moenck did a little bit of everything. So many others helped in other little and big ways - it definitely took a village to pull this off. Thank you to all!

P.S. Someone found a Swiss Army Knife in front of Seminole Pool yesterday. If someone lost it during the rummage sale or clean up, they can email us to identify the engraving on it.
