SWIM-A-THON RECAP AND PLEDGE FORM REMINDER! - Member Email: July 14, 2025
Hi Seminole Families,
Is anyone else shocked that it's already the mid-point of summer and Seminole season? It's been great to see so many families enjoying the pool and tennis courts - when it hasn't been raining, it's definitely been Seminole weather. The 2.0 Committee has two updates for you:
Help Us Reach 100% Participation!
So far, 111 families have filled out the Seminole 2.0 Pledge Estimate Form—thank you! That’s about 25% of our membership, and we still have a long way to go. Remember, even if you anticipate your family's pledge to be $0, we want to hear from you for planning purposes.
Please take a few minutes to submit your form by Wednesday, July 23rd. After that date, we’ll begin reaching out individually to those we haven’t heard from.
Your input is critical as we determine the next steps for the future of Seminole. Every response matters—even if you're not ready to pledge right now, we still need to hear from you! If you have questions, please see the Seminole 2.0 Website for more background information, or reach out to us for a conversation.

Our Seminole Pool Swim-a-thon was a HUGE success!!
We want to send a HUGE thank you to our Seminole Pool Community for their support of our 2nd Seminole Pool Swim-a-thon on July 9th! To our swimmers who swam, volunteers and coaches who counted laps, families that fundraised, donated and cheered, and local businesses that donated, we THANK YOU! It was great to see both our swim/dive team members and some non-team kids setting goals and swimming hard.
Together, our Seminole Swimmers swam more than 4,500 laps (that's 136 miles) with over 140 swimmers participating! Your resilience, motivation and determination were so fun to see!! We raised over $11,500 that will go towards our new facilities that will have increased access for all pool members!
We want to recognize our top 5 fundraisers who will receive a basket full of swimming swag gifted by Simply Swimming, with the top 2 getting a bowling party donated by Ten Pin Alley:
1st: Maggie Cohen: $972
2nd/3rd: Emmy & Hadley Dorn: $600 each
4th: Gabriel Pauli: $540
5th: Norah O'Brien: $525
Finally, our swim team age group that raised the most money was the 9/10s. They will get to help pie their coaches later this week.
Our Swim-a-thon pledge form will remain open through 7/20 if you are compelled to donate - we're only $1000 short of our goal of beating the total from our first Swim-a-thon in 2023.
As always, the 2.0 team is always looking for volunteers and fresh ideas and we're happy to answer any questions that you may have. Please reach out - we'd love to hear from you: carleenh@seminole26-5.org.
Have a great week,
Seminole 2.0 Committee
