TWO WAYS TO SUPPORT SEMINOLE THIS WEEK - DONATE TUESDAY, EAT WEDNESDAY! - Member Email: December 1, 2025

Hi Seminole Families,

December is here! We hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. As we head toward Giving Tuesday, we ask you to consider placing a pledge or donation toward Seminole 2.1. We are so grateful to all of you who have made donations and pledges thus far.

Project Highlight
In honor of Giving Tuesday, we’re switching the order of our updates this week to highlight the 26.5 Foundation—the nonprofit associated with Seminole Pool & Tennis Club. Created around the same time as the original Seminole 2.0 effort, the Foundation has quietly begun giving back to the community, though its impact is limited until we have the facilities needed to completely fulfill its mission.

The central mission of the 26.5 Foundation is to increase access to swimming and water safety—particularly by reaching underserved populations that may not otherwise have access to a pool, and by expanding opportunities for all through adaptive swimming programming.

A few things to know:

  • The 26.5 Foundation has already partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County, facilitating access to Seminole Pool for local children for the past three summers

  • Accessibility is a major goal of the foundation with plans to launch an adaptive swim program for individuals with varying needs and abilities once our facilities are ADA compliant

  • With a larger and more thoughtful pool design, we can create more opportunities for underserved groups to access swim lessons and water recreation—without limiting member use

Throughout this fundraising process, we continue to see how much the community supports Seminole. The 26.5 Foundation will allow Seminole to show how much we support our community in return.

Fundraising Update

We continue working hard to close the $890,000 gap required to move forward with plans beginning in 2026. While we were thrilled with the early support for the updated Seminole 2.1 design, new pledges and donations have slowed significantly.

If you haven’t yet placed your pledge, we ask that you please take a moment to do so now. Remember: no payments on pledges are due until September of the year we break ground (earliest would be September 2026).

There are other ways to donate as well. If you’ve missed any information this fall or want to revisit updates, you can find everything on the Update page of our website.

Four Square Contest

Don’t miss the opportunity to join our fundraising contest to name the Four Square space at the new pool!

  • This is a fun way to have a chance for your family to have a recognition opportunity without going outside your budget!

  • Check out our video announcement linked here!

  • Here’s how it works:

  • Every $67 donation made through our Zeffy account earns one entry into the contest

  • One lucky winner will be chosen at random on December 31

  • Want to boost your chances? Donate $134, $268, or any multiple of 67 to earn additional entries!

Upcoming Restaurant Night and Volunteer Opportunity
We still need multiple volunteers to work at our Culver’s-Verona fundraising night this Wednesday, December 3 (5-8 PM). Here is the volunteer sign up link. If you can’t volunteer, be sure to stop by for some good eats! And spread the word because we get a percentage back of ALL SALES during those three hours.Tell your neighbors! Tell your friends! Tell your teammates! Tell your work colleagues!

Lastly, don’t forget to follow @seminole.prez on Instagram or “Seminole Prez” on Facebook for updates as we progress to our ground breaking goal! Your support truly makes all the difference. Let’s do this, Seminole family!
